COLONIAL CHURCHES.
STATEMENT BY BISHOP OF NORTH QUEENSLAND. ENGLISH LEADING STRINGS. London, April 25. The B’sliop of North Queensland at the’ anniversary service of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, held in St. Paul’s, declared that throughout Australia a consciousness was growing that the church must be delivered of its land. The method of escape from the English leading strings was by State enactment.
