WANGANUI STEEPLECHASE. (Per Press Association.) Wanganui, April 19. The following are the nominal ons for the Wanganui Steeplechase, about three miles:—Lovell, Hautere, Ohaikau, First Barrel!, Beeline, Glenmore, Sir Lethe, Whakaweira, Common, Antarctic, Zante, Pleiades, Wleiatua, Dorando, The Spaniard, Tallin, Compass, Continuance, Kaipetipeti, Xavier, Captain Jingle, Tyrannic. WELLING TON MEETING. Trentham, April 20. The weather is fine but overcast for the second day of the Wellington Racing Club’s autumn meeting. There was a fair attendance, and the going was good. Results: — Second Hack Steeples.—Glenmore 1, Zante 2, Dorando 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time, smin 31 sec. Muritai Handicap.—Sir Solo I, Tnriia 2, Mira 3. Scratched: Sea Queen. Won by a length. Time, Imin 43 2-5 see. Muritai Handicap.—Toney 1, Lambton 2, Maui ton 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time, Imin 29 4-ssc-c. A DISQUALIFICATION. Invercargill, April 20. The Southland Racing Club stewards last night disqualified the trainer G. A. Campbell for two years for corrupt practices.
