A MAN ATTACKS HIS WIFE WITH AN AXE. “COULD NOT HELP IT.” (Received 1.7, 10.5 a.in. Sydney, April 17._ William Jones, of Windsor, Avas sitting at the dinner table, Avhen he suddenly became demented. Ho rushed into'the yard, returned Avitli an axe. and struck his Avife twice on the head with the sharp edge, splitting the skull. There is no hope of recovery. Jones afterwards stated that lit could not help eloing it.
