LONDON WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, hare received the following cablegram from their London house, under date lltii inst:— London Wool Sales.—There was a full attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Home and Continental buyers being .active, and prices, as compared with the close of preceding series, ruled in sellers’ favour for crossbred, merino being unchanged. The opening catalogues were representative. America is operating. LONDON MARKETS. London, April 13. Rabbits are dull; best Sydney’s, ex store, Is 3d; Melbourne, Is 2d. Sheep: Nc\V Zealand ewes, 3 3-16 d. Lamb: North Island, s£d; best brands. sgd; others unchanged. Beef: Forequarters, 3 J ( d; hindquarters, 4Jd. Australian sheep: Light, unchanged; heavy wethers and owes, 3’pi. Lambs: Best brands, sd; fair quality, 4|-d; inferior quality, Beef: Forequarters unchanged; hindquarters, 3-Jd. South American sheep are unchanged. Lambs: First quality, sd; second quality, 4|d. Beef: Frozen forequarters, 3’d, hindquarters, 3 5-1 Gd ; chilled forequarters, 3£d; hindquarters, 6|d.
