AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE

There was a splendid audience at His Majesty's Theatre on Thursday evening, when the new change was given. This programme includes a large number of films which are quite the best of their kind yet screened in Stratford. <\ The "star" drama is that which represent the noble sacrifice of Lady Godiva, and the base ingratitude of Peeping Tom. The details of the story are splendidly carried out, and there are no apparent signs of 'faking," a point watch adds considerably to the enjoyment of the film. Lady Godiva, herself, is an exceedingly beautiful woman, and the dignity with wFion *!;e carries out her part is most impressive. The part of Peeping Tom, a'<o, is conspicuous for magnificent ehuracter acting. £ The Making of a Six-';o,i (.Ve&e f": speaks for itself. The picture is a remarkable one, and should appeal (o all.those connected with the dairying industry. Of the supporting drain.is, "Divided Interests" is a clever little film, and won much-applause from the siirliopee. But the best of" the lot S tJ.e film which tells how the office boy g -t the sack and was returned to the MJ. incidentally this picture s'iows a I ,ucball match in "progress. ! The storj needs to be seen to be appree ated. A Pathe Gazette ,and a marvellous exhibition of the Icelandic n ode of defence, "Glyma," are features at this programme, which will he repeated tonight for the last time.
