STRATFORD A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

\,, ,l -GYMKHANA.

All fioali arrangements for the Gymkhana are .being cai 'ried iout > to-day, and the erection of hurdles', and obstacles if pr Itheidumping:events is boiKi complete:..) MosMf (the loose-boxes on ' the; Show Grounds have been engaged for horses competing. Adequate pro-vision-has been made for anyone quiring hot,, water, on. the grounds, while, ; also, ample paddocking accommodation for horses and traps will be provided at a nominal charge. Motorists, also, will find plenty of room for cars on the grounds. The Show Grounds are .now in splendid order, being very . x pleasing-.to; the eye with a carpet of ■green.;. 'The oval- is' looking particularly well with <a good sole of gra'ss, and Should stand any amount of galloping oh,without cutting up. For the trotting races the inside of the i trotting course will be flagged with red flags,,. A :special course will beM flagged for the motor car event, somewhat representing the eight. The events; will start at 11 a.m., and will follow closely one after the other throughout the afternoon. At suitable intervals the orchestra of the Stratford Orchestral Society will discourse sweet music specially selected for the occasion. The committee have 'so arranged the programme of events that the events, that appeal mostly to. the spectators will be put on somewhere near the middle of the proceedings. However, the whole of the events are of a very interesting nature, and it may be fairly .claimed that there is not a dull;.item on the whole of the programme. It. would certainly be difficult to compile a programme of a more diverse character. With the excellent, programme provided, we feel certain that the fixture on Easter Monday will be well patronised throughout Taranakj, more particularly by those who desire to see the Gymkhana held under the, auspices of the Stratford A. and P. Association become an annual attraction, and the most important fixture of this nature in the province.
