ASSISTED IMMIGRANTS.
THE QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT STOPS OPERATIONS.
A THOUSAND DISAPPOINTED. (Received 3, 8.55 a.m.) Brisbane, April 3. The Government has stopped the system of assisted immigrants, owing to the exhaustion of the vote for the purpose. It is also considerably restricting the nominate dsystem. A thousand passengers have been refused.
