THD EASTER GYMKHANA
Splendid entries have been received for ■the Gymkhana, and, with fine weather j a really enjoyable day’s sport may,' bo looked for with confidence. Present barometer readings give every indication of fine weather conditions on the day. The Premier has been invited to attend, and in all probability will be present with other M.P.’s, who will be in Stratford on the day in connection with a function to be held in the evening. The trotting races on the programme have filled remarkably well) and amongst the entrants' are several fast horses, so that the trot-ting,-events should prove very interesting. All the jumping contests have brought forth fine enrties with the exception of the Maiden Leaping Competition. In this event the conditions lai£ down stipulate that competitors must not have competed in a jumping evpnt previously, and this condition no doubt barred a number from entering,', However, to give horse owners every opportunity to enter horses having an amateur status, this event has been made post entry. All final arrangements are now well in hand, and the,i public will he well catered for in all. respects. Luncheon and afternoon tea, ( jvill be served on the grounds, and fruit and lolly stalls will also be in evidence.
