THE DEATH ROLL EXCEEDS EIGHTY.
HOPE ABANDONED
New York, March 27
Latest reports of the West Virginian mine disaster show that the.death roll exceeds eighty. Ninety-three men were involved. Eleven reached the surface alive.
Six bodies have been found. Indications lead to the abandonment of hope for the others.
