THE NEW CABINET.

TO BE ANNOUNCED TO-DAY. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, March 26. No announcement of the mew Cabinet will be made till to-morrow. THE ATTITUDE OF LABOUR. Wellington, March 27. Mr. Veitch, interviewed by the “Times,” said the gathering last week was a conference between Liberals and Labourites, and not a party caucus. The Labourites accepted Mr. Mackenzie as a compronrse. but their ideal is an entirely new Cabinet. The “Times” also states that several members who attended the caucus disclose that a majority favoured Mr. Millar, but Mr. Isitt and the Labour members were so insistent in opposition that the only alterative was to make another selection. Mr. Lanrenson’s supporters were all South Islanders.
