A meeting of Liberals at Port Aliuriri adopted the following resolution ; “The Liberal supporters of the Government at Port Aluiriri have every confidence in Sir Joseph Ward’s able leadership, and trust be will reconsider his decision and continue to lead the Liberal Party, in which we have every confidence.”
