SCOTTISH SOCIETY.
TARANAKI PROVINCIAL COUNCIL MEETING.
A committee meeting of the above Society was held in Mr. D. Butchart's rooms, Broadway, on Wednesday -evening, Mr, W. L. Kennedy (the president), bein'g in the chair. A set of rules for the Society was drawn up, submitted to the meeting, and approved. The matter of the formation of a Pipe Band was gone into, and it was decided. to take immediate steps for the establishment of a band. It was decided to hold a social and dance in May.- A committee was tip-' pointed to 1 carry but the necessary arrangements. The first general meeting of the Society is to be held in the Borough Chambers on Wednesday, 21th April, at 8 p.m. * ,
