TARINAKI JOCKEY CLUB. At a meeting of the Metropolitan Committee of the Taranaki Jockey Clnh it was decided to approve of the decision of the Judicial Committee of the Jockey Club, whereby the jockey’s license of W. H. Copestake was suspended for three months for not riding his mount (Cornelian) out' to the end of the race at the club’s autumn meeting,' when, in the opinion of the Judicial Committee, he had a chance of winning or running second. At a committee mooting the subcommittee reported that Kyngdon and Russell’s tender for improvements to the training .track had been accepted, and that the contractors had enade a start with the work this week.—“ News.”
