ELECTS ON PETITION.
THE WATRAU SEAT. (Per Press Association.) Blenheim, March 20. At the Election Court to-day, Eileen O’Sullivan, daughter of one of the petitioners, said on January Btb Parker called at her father’s house, and the conversation turned to the subject of the election. Mr. Sinclair was proceeding to ask what Parker said. Mr. Skerrett objected. Mr. Sinclair wanted to show that Parker made admissions in regard to hiring cars to McCallum. His Honour said this was not evidence against McCallum. If an agency existed on election day it had ceased after the election. Witness was ordered to stand down until Parker had been recalled. Parker having left for Nelson, counsel asked that he lie sent for. The Registrar was instructed to telegraph and order his return.
