At the Wanganui Board ,of Education meeting last night the secretary of the Taranaki Rugby Union notified that the Bayly Memorial Scholarship this year had been- won by Master Charles Crone, of the New Plymouth High School. The writer also deplored the fact that pupils of schools under the Board’s I’csted very little interest in the scholarship and the Union would like ‘the Board’s inspectors to (press the question of this scholarship on the at tention of headmasters. The Roar I donated £5 the .amount of the annual contribution, towards the funds cf the scholarship in question.
