IN THE COURTS.
(Ptr Press Association.) Christchurch, March 8. Fines were imposed 1 this morningon another batch ot youths charged with failure to obey the Defence Act. In giving reserved judgment in cases in. which conscientious and religious objections were raised, Mr. Bailey, S.M., said the question of religion would not arise t;ll the men were put to service. It was the duty of everyone to register and take the oath, but the defence authorities could consider religious objections later. Fines were imposed. Counsel for the defence indicated that an appeal was probable.
