STORM IN SYDNEY.

A HUNDRED AND FIFTY POINTS OF RAIN FALL. : TRAM TRAFFIC SUSPENDED J (Received 26, 10.5 aim!) Sydney, February 26. During the afternoon’s storm a Hundred and fifty points of rain fell, accompanied by a cyclonic wind and severe lightning. Many boats capsized in the harbour. No fatalities are reported. Lightning struck St. Matthias’s Church, Paddington, and set fire to the roof. The brigade extinquished the fire. The tower of St. Francis’ Convent was struck and damaged slightly. The tram lines are flooded, and traffic is suspended. At the time several cars were struck by lightning.
