THE VEXED QUESTION OF ARMAMENTS. THREE TO WO DREADNOUGHTS (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) Berlin, February 24. Count von ReventloAV, Avriting to the Deutsche Tagerzeitung, states that if an entente is arranged Germany should demand a proportion of three to tAvo Dreadnoughts. Germany was prepared to consider an understanding giving Britain indisputable precedence iu armaments.
THE WALFISOH BAY DEMAND. London, February 24. English neAvspapers, commenting on the persistent demands of the German press for AValfisch Bay for a lai’ge seaport and naval base in connection with the Cape railways, and also commenting on Sir E. Grey’s vague statement on Thursday, states that there must be no concession of territory belonging to a self-governing dominion without the latter’s consent.
