DEATH OF A PRISONER.
INQUEST TO BE HELD

r 'inr ! i r . ox.. 'Auckland, January 27. Edward Kirby, a prisoner from Mt. Eden Gaol, died in the hospital in circumstances considered to warrant a coronial enquiry. He was serving seven years’ hard labour, and Jiad been incarcerated since 1908. He is said to have suffered from miners’ complaint.
