Yeran, a wine merchant, after losing a case before tlie Marseilles tribunal exclaimed, “I am ruined!” and fatally shot with a revolver a rival lawyer. Attendants sprang on Veran who -wrenched himself free and shot another rival lawyer and then attempted suicide. Litigants and lawyers fled amid panic.
