AN IMPOSING CEREMONY
(Received 22, 9.45 a.m.) London, January 21. There was an imposing ceremony attended by three hundred priests at the reception of Cardinal Bourne at Westminster Cathedral this afternoon. The Lord Mayor of London and the Mayor of Westminster were among those present. \
SOLDIERS SLIGHTED. (Received 22, 9.45 a.m.) . London, January 21. The “Pa'll Mall Gazette” reports that there is some discontent in India because thirty-five thousand Coronation medals were distributed to civilians and only five thousand to soldiers. TROUBLES OF A PRINCESS. (Received 22, 8 a.m.) London, January 21. In the King’s Bench Division, W. T. Stead is suing to recover £llOO advanced to tradesmen on a bill transacted to oblige Princess Wiasomsky. He made her acquaintance through the Dowager Empress of Russia the Hague Conference. The transaction arose through renting a house at Dulwich. Mr Stead already has a judgment for £7OO against the Princess. He held a security in connection with the present advance, but returned it to oblige her.
