WELLINGTON WOOL SALES. (Per Press Association ) Wellington, January 10. At the January wool sale, commencing to-morrow, bales w ill be offered—sooo less than at the same sale last year. Napier, January 10. The catalogue for the second vool sale of the- season next Tuesday will comprise about 20,300 bales, some 4000, more than at the corresponding sale last year. The wool is opening out in excellent condition, and prices are expected to fully maintain the November level. The buyers will include six representatives of French houses. Auckland, January 10. There was a small offering—6672 bales—at the local wool sale to-day, confined largely to crossbreds. The advances in prices recorded at the first sale of the season were well maintained, inferior crossbreds realising 61 d to 74d, medium 73d to 8-Jd, fine B;fd to OJd. A specially .picked line of balfbreds this morning brought up to 11-J-d. Later sales recorded an advance of \d to ld :i per lb on wools suitable for America.! For poorly grown faulty wool bidding was irregular at November irates.,. : ,. .. ~ 4 .
