FIRES.
(Per Press Association.) Invercargill, January 5. Shortly after midnight a fire gutted Mrs. Weir’s fruit shop in Dee Street and damaged the stock of J. Spratt, sailmaker. The building was owned by E. Perry, and insured for £3OO. Mrs. Weir’s stock was insured for £2OO and Spratt’s for £350. Both are losers.
