THE TERRITORIALS.
A MISUNDERSTANDING. A good parade was, held in the old Masonic Hall last night, when Captain Dampen was in attendance. An interesting lecture on the care and cleaning of arms, and also .on. the rudiments of semaphore signalling i.vas, given by Staff-Se,rgeant r Mujor Dalljnger. /' _ Some misunderstanding ’exifets among the .territorials with regard to the parades, many thinking tJiat attendance is still voluntary. This is not the case. Before the 3ist of March, ,-acli territorial has got to put in twelve oveuiug parades of one hour, four half-day parades, or two whole day parades, and seven days in camp. ■ Senior cadets, must put in seventeen parades of one hour each, two half .lays of three hours, and a prescribed course in musketry. Cadets will not 'o into camp. From now on to the end of the training year a parade will be hold .n the old Masonic Hall for the territorials of the 11th Regiment, every Friday evening at 8 o’clock, and for jenior cadets every Tuesday at 7.30. The camp will be held some time .n the latter part of March. It is vnticipated that the uniforms will lie .served out some time next month.
SWEARING-IN PARADES. The right half D Squadron will parade on the 11th and_2sth of this nonth at 11 a.m., falling in at old
Masonic Hall, Regan Street. All members belonging to Stratford squadron must be present to be sworn in.
