POTASH PRODUCTION.
AMERICAN BUYERS SIGN NEW CONTRACTS. THE INDUSTRY AT HOME. (Received 4, 8.10 a.m.) Berlin, January 3. American buyers have signed new contracts with the potash mine owners, .the Americans thereby los ng‘ twenty-five million dollars as compared with earlier contracts. An American Congressional report suggests that the giant kelps on tho Pacific Coast are capable of yielding a million tons of potassium chloride yearly.
