THE WARATAH.
NO MISTAKE ABOUT THE BUOY. (Per Press Association. ) Auckland, January 3. A Customs official inspected the buoy washed ashore at AVaiuku, and states that the inscription “S.S. AVaratah” is plainly seen, with the dim but indistinguishable outline of part of the registration on the reverse side. Two fairly large flags were decipherable, but no lettering.
