, Uf (Por-M’ross ••'Association.) i ‘ . AVellington, January'2*. News has heen received, of the total destruction by fire of the famous curved Maori housb Takitumu; -at-Table-land, Martinborongh. From the meagre particulars, available, it appears that Takitumu was razed to the ground. It is understood that ■it the time of the fire; 10 p.m. on Sunday, there was only - one native nbout the place. The origin of the tiro is a mystery. The police are conducting investigations.
