Mr. Herbert Samuel, PostmasterGeneral, in the House of Commons, announced a 50 per cent, reduction in Gie rates of uncoded public and press cable messages to Australia. _ Both would bo liable to be deferred. The reduction in public messages commences on January Ist, and for press messages immediately.
