A rebel torpedo boat ran the gauntlet of the Imperialist forts at Hankow and steamed at full speed. The whole battery of twelve guns poured shrapnel into the boat, which was repeatedly struck; The feat aroused tiio enthusiasm of foreigners. The heat was disabled opposite the Concessions, which was finally readied under the Wuchang bank. A revolutionary cruiser bombarded tho fort, killing several.
