HOCKEY.
TARANAKI REPS. The selectors, Messrs. Anderson .and Thomson, for the Southern Division, and Messrs. Beal and Harris for the Northern Division, have selected the following to play in a trial match at Hawera on Wednesday next, August 9. Mr. Pratt will select the rep. team to play Wanganui from the players : Southern Team.—Kemp, Hurrell, Sargent, Bassett, Hutton, Sage, Griffon (Hawera), L. Curtis, R. B ; Anderson, L. .Tocker, Cameron (Stratford). North Team.—Stephens, Allen, M. Harris, Sutherland, Priest (Inglewood), Wade, Harrison, Burdekin (Eltham), Avery, Wood (New Plymouth); emergency, Brown (Eltham).
