MINISTERIAL WARNING.
Capetown, June 27. The Minister of Finance has issued a circular pointing out prospects such as necessitate the utmost care. Estimates of expenditure approved by Parliament were admittedly inflated and framed on a basis altogether too extravagant for the Union’s resources. The Minister accordingly enjoins that expenditure should not be incurred unless it is unavoidable.
