ACID THROWN.—A fine of £40,000 has been imposed on Warsaw by the Governor, Dr Fischer. An official German announcement of the reasons for the fine states that in the streets the people of Warsaw squirt hydrochloric acid on the uniforms of German officials and officers. The acid throwers, who act very swiftly, have not so far been discovered. (Rugby.)
