NEW ZEALAND’S WAR EFFORT

(Rec. 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, October 29. The Times gives prominence to a special article from its Wellington correspondent on New Zealand’s war effort. In a leading article The Times says: “There can be few, if any, countries which have made. a greater contribution in proportion to their size and resources. Despite the withdrawal of more than 140,000 men for the armed forces, New Zealand’s output of food and raw materials for common . use has been kept up to the highest peace-time levels. New Zealand’s resolve to play her full part is shown by the share the New Zealanders are taking in the Egyptian battle.”
