SHEARING CLASS FOR LEARNERS.—Wet weather has caused a further delay in the beginning of the learners’ class to be conducted at Lumsden. It is hoped that the course will begin tomorrow. About 12 learners have enrolled and the class, which will be given tuition in both blade and machine shearing, as well as rolling and binning, ■will be under the supervision of Mr G. R. Herron, deputy-chairman of the Southland Primary Production Council, and Mr F. E. Carter, Dominion organizer of the Farmers’ Union.
