LASHIO AERODROME RAIDED

(Rec. 7 p.m.) CHUNGKING, Oct. 29. A communique issued by General Stilwell states that American bombers and fighters raided the aerodrome at Lashio on October 27, hit the runway, hangar and dispersal area as well as an anti-aircraft battery. All the planes returned. Chinese air attacks on Linsi are said to be directed towards reducing the productivity of the important Kaigung coalfields and big power plant there.
