British Labour Leaders Critical

(Rec. 11.30 p.m.) CLEVELAND, Oct. 29. British Labour leaders touring war plants were not impressed by American war production. Mr Jack Tanner, president of the Amalgamated Engineers’ Union declared that the plants were well laid out and finely equipped, but there did not seem to be appreciation of the urgent need of turning out munitions as rapidly as possible. They were not working as fast as they were in England. Mr Arthur Roberts, secretary of the Public Employees’ Union, expressed similar views.
