Fair and Milder (Special) WELLINGTON, October 30. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Fresh to strong westerly to northwesterly winds; occasional showers in the western ranges, but the weather otherwise fair and milder.
The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and unpleasant, with a high wind from the west. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was mild and overcast with a westerly wind. The barometer reading was 30.14 in (rising).
