CLEARING SALE AT PARAWA
There was a large attendance of farmers from many parts of Southland, at a clearing sale held on behalf of Mr A. E. Butson, of Parawa. 'Hie stock sold at good prices and there was a keen demand for implements, sundries and furniture. The sale was conducted by Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd. The following prices were obtained at auction:— Sheep—lll ewes and lambs (all counted) 20/-, 289 at 18/-, 458 at 17/3, 423 at 17/2, 320 at 17/-. wether hoggets at 22/-. Horses—Saddle hack £2B, mare £l2/10/-, unbroken mare £ll/10/-, unbroken gelding £ll/10/-; draught geldings £B, £6/10/-, £7; mares £6, £4/10/-. Implements and Sundries—Tractor £395, tractor plough £BO. power binder £l2O, topdresser £32/10/-, harrows £2O, power mower £42/10/-. tandem discs £3l, disc plough £9, chain harrows £6/15/-, d.f. plough £l2, drill £26, horse discs £2B, £lB, ridger £2O. scuffler £ll, grubber £B/10/-, roller £l9/10/-, drays £l3, £7 10/-, £4, £3/10/-, Ford truck £67, wagon £4, trailer £45.
