Y.M.C.A. WORK APPRECIATED

Cordial appreciation of the work that the Y.M.C.A. is doing for members of the armed forces is expressed in a letter which the Mayor, Mr A. Wachner, has received from an Invercargill man who is stationed at a northern air training centre. He says that the Y.M.C.A. provides writing material, newspapers from all parts of New Zealand, morning and afternoon teas and supper, billiards, wireless and postal facilities. The writer says he speaks for a number of other men besides himself and concludes his letter by saying that “as a matter of fact we were never so well treated in civil life.”
