CADETS FOR REGULAR ARMY
Training In Australia (P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 28. Ten cadets from New Zealand will be sent to the Royal Military College at Duntroon (Australia) about the end of February, to be trained for commissions in the New Zealand Regular Force. In announcing this, the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, said that on behalf of the Government he wished to express its appreciation of the action of the Australian Government in continuing to extend the usual training facilities to New Zealand cadets, despite the fact that the college was now very fully occupied with training officers for the Australian military forces. The Minister said it was proposed to select provisionally 20 to 25 candidates who would be required to attend a short course of instruction towards the end of January. At the end of this course a final selection of 10 candidates would be made.
