PRISONERS IN HANDS OF JAPANESE

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, October 28. The Department of Internal Affairs has received from the High Commissioner in London, Mr W. J. Jordan, the following information concerning civilian prisoners in the hands of the Japanese:— In camp at Hong Kong.—James Leslie Anderson, engineering branch of the General Post Office, Hong Kong; mother, Mrs J. A. Anderson, Ngahere, West Coast; J. S. Beach, Public Works Department, Hong Kong; wife, Mrs F. Beach, Dunedin; T. J. Gould, Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Force; Mrs Gould, Parnell (relationship not stated). Mr Jordan also stated that the name of G. V. Mayard was given over tire Batavia radio, but no other details were transmitted.
