THE WEATHER
Changeable with Rain (Special) WELLINGTON, October 27. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly winds. The weather changeable with occasional passing showers, but fair periods; temperatures cold with frosts inland. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cold and heavily overcast with a strong westerly wind. The barometer reading was 29.74 in. (rising).
