SECOND LIBERTY LOAN
Southland’s contribution to the Second Liberty Loan is now nearing the £lOO,OOO mark. On Saturday there were eight applications for loan stock, the amount of money involved being £3390. This raised the province’s contribution to £92,590, subscribed by 145 applicants. Southland’s objective is £350,000. Tomorrow at 7.15 p.m. Mr R. T. Meredith, a member of the Invercargill Second Liberty Loan Committee, will give a talk on the loan from station 4YZ.
