HAERE TONU PARTY.— The Haere Tomi party held a welcome home social in honour of Private Noel Robertson, who has been invalided home. As the guest of honour entered the hall the party lined up nnd gave a welcoming powhlri and other items. When presenting Private Robertson with a leather suitcase, the chairman remarked that their guest had left with the Ist Echelon and had been through nil the campaigns until severely wounded in the les In Libya. He was still suffering ns a result of his wound, but it was the hope of ell present that he would soon be restored to health.

In replying, Private Robertson recalled his officer's request after a battle, when ho would ask all left to stand in remembrance of those who had not returned, and so he would ask all present to do likewise.
