JUDGMENT BY DEFAULT.—Judgment by default was entered for the plaintiffs in the following cases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday:—Mathesons Ltd. v. G. Evans (Otatara), for £6/8/4, costs £l/14/6; Alpine Dairy v. I Thomas Bell (Dunedin), for £5/10/-, costs £l/12/6; Holloway Bros. Ltd. v. F. W. Sparke, sen. (Ohai), for 11/6 costs £l/12/-; A. J. Bartlett v. William Mitchell, for £5/18/7, costs £l/13/6; Mathesons Ltd. v. E. Sherborne, for £2 17/11, costs £l/6/6; Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd. v. Ronald C. Collett, for £3/7/-, costs £l/5/6; Bowden’s Mart, Ltd. v. J. A. Bellett, for 9/6,' costs 10/-. J. Junor (Mataura) was ordered to pay to the National Mortgage and Agency Co., Ltd., the sum of £lO/8/forthwith, in default 11 days’ imprisonment. He was also ordered to pay the same creditor £24/7/- forthwith, in default 25 days’ imprisonment.
