CONSTITUTION OF PATRIOTIC COUNCILS
The constitution and powers of provincial patriotic councils, the boundaries of their districts and the relationship of the councils with the National Patriotic Fund Beard are to be discussed at a conference of delegates of patriotic councils to be held in Wellington on November 18. This fact was reported at a meeting of the executive of the Southland Provincial Patriotic Council yesterday. The opinion was expressed that the proposed changes would net greatly affect the Southland Council or the zone committees in its district as patriotic organization in the province was largely on the lines suggested in the recommendations.
