DEATH OF TROTTING HORSE
Two Others In Serious Condition (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 20. The trotter Hatrack is dead and the pacers Burt Scott and Bronze Eagle are in a critical condition as the result of sudden illness. Bronze Eagle is a Trotting Cup candidate. The three horses developed dangerous symptoms some time ago. Hatrack died a week later, and it looked for a time as if Burt Scott and Bronze Eagle would also succumb. Burt Scott has since shown an improvement, and there are now signs also that Bronze Eagle may recover, although both are still in a serious condition.
