DRIVERS’ LICENCE FEES

There was a marked decrease in the amount of revenue collected in drivers’ licence fees by the traffic department of the City Council during the six months ended September 30 as compared with the revenue from this source for the corresponding period last year. There was also a decline in heavy traffic fees, but much less proportionately. The revenue from drivers' licences during the six months was £757 compared with £1129 for the corresponding period last year, a decrease of £372. The heavy traffic figures were £2148 and £2522 respectively, a decline of £374.
