INVERCARGILL ARCHERY CLUB

The official opening of the Invercargill Archery Club was held on Saturday. The Mayor, Mr A. Wachner, was present to open the club and fired the first arrow. In spite of the wind quite good stores were recorded. A Columbia round was shot for the doubles championship, R. Mclntosh and Miss V. A. Allott being the winner?, and F. Wilkie and A. Leckie the runners-up. The scores were as follows:—Mclntosh and Miss V. Allott, 372; F. Wilkie and A. Leckie, 356; R. Robertson and G. McKenzie, 346; Mr and Mrs C. Peddie, 331; A. Tinnock and Maher, 302. Miss V. Allott had the highest score in the Golden Arrow competition.
