(Special) WELLINGTON, October 16. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Fresh to strong westerly winds. The weather fair to cloudy; moderate temperatures; later, scattered rain developing in the western ranges. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and partly overcast with a strong westerly wind. At 1 o’clock this morning the weather was cool, and clear with a westerly wind.
